With Wi-Fi Extension 2.0 you can control Modules and Bricklets wirelessly on your mobile phone, tablet or PC. For an explanation of the Extension Module concept, you can read the general description.

Since the device manages TCP / IP packets generated by the APIs, it is possible to connect directly from the control device (phone, tablet, (embedded) PC).

To use Wi-Fi Extension 2.0, it is mandatory to add the master module. If you want to use other modules, you can build a stack and insert them into the top of the master module. If you want to use Bricklets you can connect to the Master Brick or other stack modules. From the programming point of view it is completely transparent, and all bricks and bricklets can be used exactly as if they were connected to the USB control device.
